Ruby
SKU: #1042
This product is only available for self-collection
Thai rubies are rather rare now as they have stopped production. Thailand was an important source of rubies many years back. Their rubies had a good colour and clarity combination. The Thai's were also the ones that perfected heat treatment on rubies and sapphires. They also had excellent cutters and they had a culture that is familiar with gemstones
A gemologist's note
Natural ruby and unheated ruby describe different things. A natural ruby can have undergone heat treatment. Ask us to explain this piece's listed treatment and any available laboratory findings, alongside its colour and appearance. Learn more about ruby.
